Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Quality Engineer for Blades & Vanes to drive supplier quality across North America, integrate Project and Supplier Management, and uphold high quality standards in hot gas components for turbines.

You will lead improvement projects, apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, build strong supplier relationships, and travel up to 25% to supplier sites while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and enable new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in quality methodologies and manufacturing management, especially with turbine hot gas parts.
• Project management skills, strong organization, and willingness to travel ~25%. Fluency in English; willing to learn German.

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive quality improvements for hot gas components produced by suppliers using data analysis and quality metrics.
• Lead continuous improvement projects with Six Sigma and Lean to optimize processes and reduce non-conformance costs.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to facilitate improvements and meet milestones.
• Lead initiatives to reduce costs and delivery times at external suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality objectives with business goals and operational strategies.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap to position products for future success.
