Job summary

FuelCell Energy is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure quality across balance-of-plant for FuelCell Energy Block Systems and oversee supplier quality. The role focuses on ITP development, supplier qualification, and site QA during construction and commissioning phases.

Qualifications include a BS in engineering and 5+ years in quality engineering, with Six Sigma or statistical methods proficiency. Travel up to 70% is expected, and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of relevant Quality Engineering experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; or demonstrated use of statistical concepts.
• Experience with ISO9001 quality systems, ERP and data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong technical writing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of all balance-of-plant for FuelCell Energy Block Systems.
• Define supplier qualification processes and required levels of process capability.
• Develop and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for equipment and systems.
• Verify supplier data, inspection/NDE reports, FATs, and complete inspections/tests.
• Lead supplier QA through audits and supplier development programs.
• Drive site construction and project quality at job sites; ensure compliance with plans.
