Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Quality Engineer on the day shift for our new 360,000-square-foot Asian-style facility in Sioux Falls, SD. The role provides technical leadership in food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, PI&D, and Food Safety & Quality teams.

We seek a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field with 3+ years in quality engineering; Six Sigma Green Belt preferred, and experience with HACCP/GMPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in Quality Engineering or related.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety systems.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma CI methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise testing procedures to ensure analytical methods and quality standards are followed.
• Establish sampling programs for in-process and finished products.
• Monitor quality data daily and troubleshoot product quality and safety concerns.
• Maintain records and communicate results to management.
• Lead quality improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate training on HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems.
