True North Consultants, Inc. in Mansfield, OH is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced automotive supplier team. You will report to the Quality Manager and work with quality professionals on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of automotive quality engineering experience.
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions experience.
• Formal problem solving skills.
• Experience communicating with customers.
• Working knowledge of FMEAs and control plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for quality issues.
• Determine root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns.
• Review control plans.
• Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for customers and management.
• Assist area managers and process engineers with problem solving.
• Monitor and update portals.
• Champion formal problem solving teams.
• Complete defect analysis in a lab setting.
• Supervise the gage and SPC process.
• Support new model launch activities.
• Utilize Minitab software.
• Additional responsibilities as delegated by the manager.
