Job summary

Mansfield Auto Supplier is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join the fast-paced manufacturing team in Mansfield, OH. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on driving quality improvements across processes and products.

You will interact with customers, analyze defects, implement corrective actions, review control plans, and support new model launches on the manufacturing floor. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field; experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• At least three years of similar quality engineering experience with an automotive supplier or OEM or in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing environments
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Formal problem solving skills
• Experience communicating with customers
• Working knowledge of FMEAs and control plans
• Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for quality issues
• Determine root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns
• Review control plans
• Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for customers and management
• Assist area managers and process engineers with problem solving
• Monitor and update portals
• Champion formal problem solving teams
• Complete defect analysis in a lab setting
• Supervise the gage and SPC process
• Support new model launch activities
• Utilize Minitab software
