Job summary

Kyyba is hiring a Quality Engineer - Exterior in a hybrid role based near Wayne, MI. The engineer will act as the first line of defense for functional system quality at the vehicle assembly plant, addressing quality issues in components and processes at the plant and remote build centers.

Collaboration with Body Exterior engineering is essential to achieve quality objectives for trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master’s Degree required or preferred.
• 5 years of experience in PD/Quality/Program/Manufacturing desirable.
• Six Sigma Black Belt trained desirable.

Responsibilities

• First line of defense regarding Functional system quality for products at the assembly plant.
• Analyze and fix quality issues on components shipped into the assembly plant and processes within the plant and remote build centers.
• Collaborate with Body Exterior engineering team to meet quality objectives for Body Exterior Trim, Decals, Bumpers, Latches, and Sealing.

Job Description:

Position Description: Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineers are part of Client’s North American Engineering organization and are co‑located in the Vehicle Assembly Plant with the vehicle production team.

• The PVT Engineer is the 'first line of defense' regarding Functional system quality for the products produced at the assembly plant.
• The PVT Engineer has several responsibilities associated with analyzing and fixing quality issues on components shipped into the assembly plant, and processes within the Vehicle Assembly Plant and integrated remote build centers.
• Work with Body Exterior engineering team to deliver quality objectives heavily focused on Body Exterior Trim, Decals, Bumpers, Latches, and Sealing.

Skills Required: Mechanical Engineering – 4 year engineering or engineering technology degree would be the expectation.

Skills Preferred: Design Release Engineer – Critical problem solving skills are very important on the PVT

Experience Required: Experience in PD/Quality/Program/Manufacturing desirable with 5 years of experience

Experience Preferred: Six Sigma Black Belt trained desirable

Education: Bachelor's / Master’s Degree
