Job summary

FPC of Orlando is recruiting a Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 automotive supplier in Greater Indianapolis. Direct-hire with full corporate benefits, focusing on customer quality, APQP, and new product launch for structural components.

Responsibilities include leading quality activities for L&N product launches, coordinating PPAP submissions, and applying 8D/5-Why/root-cause analysis to drive issue resolution while maintaining IATF 16949 compliance and customer scorecards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AIAG standards (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.

Responsibilities

FPC of Orlando is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 automotive supplier in Greater Indianapolis. This is a direct-hire, permanent position. The role focuses on customer quality, APQP, and new product launch for structural components (metal, plastic, and composites).

• Base Salary: $65,000-$100,000 (Based on experience).


• Status: Direct-hire with full corporate benefits.

Job Functions

• Launch & APQP: Lead quality activities for new product launches and manage project progress.


• Submissions: Coordinate and complete PPAP submissions for OEM customers.


• Problem Solving: Utilize 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve quality issues.


• Compliance: Maintain IATF 16949 standards, manage customer scorecards, and perform layered audits.


• Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality requirements and audits.

Requirements

• Experience: 0-5 years Years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive experience is a plus


• Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or BSMET) or Industrial Engineering (BSIE) or Equivalent OR Hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Automotive manufacturing environment.


• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in AIAG standards (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Quality documentation, Quality control, Quality assurance.


• Systems: Working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements.


• Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. No Visa sponsorship, OPT, or CPT is available for this role.
