Job summary

FPC (FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS - Orlando Office) is seeking an entry-level Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in Central Indiana. You will sit with a Senior QE and the Quality Manager to learn the role in the plant, with hands-on APQP on new programs and exposure to IATF 16949.

Ideal candidates include recent ME/MET/IE/IET grads with internships or 1–5 years as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing QE, or Launch QE. Local driving to interviews is expected.

We are hiring a junior Quality Engineer for an exceptional automotive manufacturer. Structural parts - metal, plastic, and composites. New program launches are coming. You will sit with a Senior Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager and learn the job in the plant.

What you will do

• Work APQP on new programs
• Review first-article parts and quality data off new assembly lines with Manufacturing Engineering
• Learn and use 8D and 5-Why when something goes wrong
• Help put quality data together for customers
• Work inside IATF 16949 - docs, audits, and day-to-day plant quality
• Help fix quality issues on current production

Who should apply

• Recent ME / MET / IE / IET grad with a real plant internship or co-op
• Or 1-5 years as Quality Engineer, Junior QE, Manufacturing QE, Customer QE, or Launch QE
• Automotive plant time is a plus
• APQP, PPAP, quality paperwork, or basic quality stats is a plus
• You already live in or near central Indiana and are able to drive to interview.
