Job summary

FPC (FORTUNE PERSONNEL CONSULTANTS - Orlando Office) is seeking a junior Quality Engineer in Central Indiana. The role sits on-site in an automotive plant, collaborating with a Senior Quality Engineer and Quality Manager to learn the job in the plant and support new program launches.

The candidate will work on APQP, review first articles, and use 8D and 5-Why methods while compiling quality data for customers and ensuring adherence to IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Recent ME / MET / IE / IET grad with a plant internship or co-op.
• 1–5 years as Quality Engineer, Junior QE, Manufacturing QE, Customer QE, or Launch QE is acceptable.
• Automotive plant experience is a plus.
• APQP, PPAP, quality paperwork, or basic quality stats experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with APQP on new programs.
• Review first-article parts and quality data from new assembly lines with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Learn and apply 8D and 5-Why for corrective actions.
• Assist in assembling quality data for customer communication.
• Operate within IATF 16949 framework – documentation, audits, and day-to-day plant quality.
• Support fixing quality issues on current production lines.
