Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a 2027 Quality Engineer (Electronic Systems) in Hunt Valley, MD. This entry-level role supports quality planning, data analysis, and process improvement across design, production, and supplier interfaces.

You will develop quality plans, participate in root-cause investigations, and deliver performance reports to management. On-site work, with opportunities for mentorship and growth within the Textron Systems family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze specifications, drawings, procedures and schematics. Technical knowledge of inspection and test techniques a plus.
• Ability to apply logical, scientific or analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
• Knowledge of Quality Engineering and manufacturing processes a plus.
• This position requires a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs Quality Engineering assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Develops Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
• Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues.
• Monitors processes using nonconformance and test discrepancy metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participates in process improvement activities through defect disposition, root cause investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).
• Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
• Create and deliver report data and presentations to local management regarding area performance.
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
