Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic).
• Experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with 8D problem solving methodology and tool usage (e.g. 5Why, fishbone).
• Six Sigma knowledge/certification highly desired.
• Analytical skills with data, problem resolution, and project management.
• Strong leadership and clear communication, on the line and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Quality engineering support for Columbia Manufacturing operations.
• Lead root-cause investigations and drive corrective/preventive actions using 8D, Six Sigma and related tools.
• Develop and implement PFMEA, process control plans and poka-yoke opportunities.
• Improve processes and reduce customer returns, scrap, and first-time throughput through continuous improvements.
