Job summary

Multitech Industries Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive the quality performance of the business unit, aligning with customer and quality system requirements.

You will lead corrective actions, APQP/PPAP activities, and QMS tasks, coordinating with the plant manager and quality team to reduce scrap and defects while improving overall cost of quality.

Engineering or technical degree preferred with 2+ years in automotive QA; familiarity with AIAG Core Tools and lean methods is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Technical post-secondary education required.
• BS Engineering/Technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Automotive Industry required.
• Automotive (AIAG) Core Tools – PPAP/APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA
• Strategic problem solving methodology
• General understanding of metal working processes
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Techniques

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality output – track, report, and drive improvement for scrap, defects, and quality costs.
• Lead weekly quality meetings with plant manager and others to discuss performance and corrective actions.
• Serve as customer/supplier liaison for problem resolution and technical support.
• Lead the Corrective Action Process, containment, root-cause analysis, and countermeasures.
• Participate in Quality Management System tasks and APQP/PPAP activities.
• Maintain revision-controlled quality documentation: control plans, PFMEA, process flow, inspection forms, procedures.
• Calibration of measurement devices; perform MSA studies where applicable.
• Disposition of non-conforming material and MRB; maintain logs.
• Maintain real-time logs and report weekly/monthly.
• Lead the sorting area; schedule throughput and allocate personnel.
• Assist with part setup on programmable metrology such as vision systems or CMM.
