Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet quality, safety, and reliability standards while driving improvements from closed‑loop feedback. You will analyze data, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align quality with company goals.

The role emphasizes audits, continuous improvement, and developing quality documentation, with travel to company locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience in a quality engineering, technician, or process/product quality‑related role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
• Familiarity with document control systems to ensure proper management and version control of technical documents.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to implement and execute improvements.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and control charts.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Leverage advanced statistical tools to analyze product and process data for quality improvement.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate key quality metrics and trends.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement to implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Conduct periodic audits of in‑process quality checklists, forms, and documentation.
• Lead supplier quality audits and ensure supplier processes meet standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure adherence to quality processes.
• Prepare for external audits and certifications (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
• Support cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service.
