Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, LLC in High Point, NC, seeks a Quality Engineer to lead PQP deployment and continuous quality improvement across the manufacturing team. The QE will own KPIs for customer satisfaction and process performance, coordinate cross-functional RCCA efforts, and serve as a lead auditor within the QMS.

Strong knowledge of AQP and Six Sigma is required. This role emphasizes reducing defects, cost of quality, training staff, and collaboration with suppliers in a dynamic HVAC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years manufacturing/quality experience (required)
• Expert knowledge of AQP, Core Quality Tools and RCCA
• Expert knowledge of manufacturing or construction processes
• Expert knowledge of Six Sigma, Shainin or TQM
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong computing skills: Google Workspace, BIM 360, statistical software, Power BI

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resolution of customer complaints to contain, identify root causes, prevent recurrence, and reduce costs
• Monitor and analyze customer data to identify problems, trends and improvement opportunities
• Develop and execute the PQP via Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and CQI
• Collect information to address customer complaints
• Lead cross-functional teams in RCCA development and execution
• Verify RCCA effectiveness and sustainability
• Implement and maintain Core Quality Tools (Process Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, FMEA) with cross-functional support
• Serve as Lead Auditor to evaluate the QMS
• Conduct Process Audits per PQP or QMS
• Train staff and suppliers on Core Quality Tools, AQP, RCCA, and CQI; drive actions via RCCA/CQI
