Job summary

M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking a Quality Engineer based in Fridley, MN, to oversee quality control processes for assigned project scopes and drive corrective actions.

The role partners with senior quality managers on larger projects and focuses on monitoring, reporting, and improving project quality performance. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and at least one year of industry experience, with strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction/engineering.
• Minimum one year of design, engineering, or construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of the design‑bid‑build process.
• Ability to conduct constructability and design document reviews.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and resolve conflicts across diverse groups.
• Implement and monitor the Quality Management Plan for assigned work.
• Oversee quality inspections and identify non-conformances.
• Manage NCN and RFI processes through corrective actions.
• Train project personnel on Mortenson’s Quality System.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
