Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality control on a project, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Plan from notice to proceed through final acceptance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of experience in design, engineering, or construction, with the ability to review design documents and manage NCN/RFI processes.

Candidates should be a self-starter who can work independently, collaborate across teams, and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year in design/engineering/construction.
• Ability to read design documents and conduct reviews.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong teamwork orientation and promote diversity.

• Serve as a technical resource and guide for project team staff.
• Implement the Quality Management Plan from notice to proceed through final acceptance.
• Oversee quality inspection of materials and work, identify non-conformances.
• Manage NCN and RFI process through corrective actions.
• Train and manage project personnel on their roles and processes.
• Discuss and resolve technical issues with customers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Capture and share best practices and identify opportunities to enhance margin or minimize risk.
