Job summary

Is-International-Services in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to own QA, weld compliance, and engineering documentation for grid-scale BESS containers. You will establish weld inspection protocols and ensure conformance with U.S.

welding codes, while updating AutoCAD drawings to reflect manufacturing quality updates and weld change orders. The role starts immediately and is open to Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire candidates.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in quality or manufacturing engineering in heavy container/BESS manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. welding codes and weld inspection methods.
• Strong AutoCAD drawing update skills based on production changes.
• Available to start ASAP in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Update and manage AutoCAD drawings to reflect quality updates and changes.
• Develop and oversee weld inspection processes for US weld codes.
• Troubleshoot fabrication quality issues and manage corrections.
• Verify QA for BESS thermal systems (air- or liquid-cooled HVAC).
• Audit floor processes and update SOPs to prevent escapes.
