Job summary

US Farathane Orion is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure plastic injection molded components meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.

You will support production, engineering, and suppliers by applying automotive quality tools, driving corrective actions, and maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 and OEM requirements. Strong communication with OEMs and Tier 1 customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent 5 years of experience).
• Minimum 2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP.
• Proficiency with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Lead or participate in SPC implementation and discipline.
• Support audits and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to Control Plans and PFMEA.
• Lead APQP activities for new and existing programs.
