Job summary

Tenneco Inc. in Michigan seeks a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality at the Greenville site. You’ll align plant goals with Quality requirements and drive improvement using data and proven tools.

You’ll lead audits, CAPA, PPAP, and customer communications, ensuring products meet customer standards while maintaining IATF certifications. The role requires hands-on problem solving and strong collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Min 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering function within a manufacturing environment. Tier 1 automotive supplier experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (FMEAs, PPAP, IATF, Ford Q1, DCX, GM, APQP, MSA, etc.).
• Gage R&R and Calibration experience a plus.
• Communication skills both verbal and written; problem solving acumen.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and initiates actions to minimize long-range quality costs.
• Coordinates in-process and final inspection and proper packaging of parts.
• Completes required audits including layered process audits.
• Reviews scrap and repair to identify problems and drive corrective action.
• Responds to customer quality concerns and maintains customer-vendor relationships.
• Coordinates visits of customer representatives and demonstrates conformance to requirements.
