Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturer. This on-site role focuses on maintaining world-class quality and leading corrective actions across Production, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in automotive quality engineering, experience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC, and strong communication to drive continuous improvement. Join a dynamic team in a growth-focused plant.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Automotive Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience within automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and other Automotive Core Tools.
• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customer and supplier quality activities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
• Complete PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other Automotive Core Tools documentation.
• Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Perform mechanical inspections utilizing CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Conduct supplier audits and support customer scorecards.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects.
• Support new product launches and APQP activities.
• Help mentor Quality Inspectors and Technicians while serving as a technical resource across the plant.
