Job summary

Aeon designs, builds, and tests modular weapon systems for ground and air platforms. We are a small, dynamic team that iterates quickly to move from concept to production.

This is a full‑time, in‑person role in Austin, TX, with a move to Cedar Park planned for early 2027. We seek a Quality Engineer to help establish ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards as we transition from NPI to high‑volume production of complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, Industrial).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and measurement systems analysis (Gage R&R).
• Experience building/operating a formal corrective action / nonconformance system.
• Ability to establish systems in a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Support risk assessment within PFMEA and validation of Control Plans.
• Lead measurement system analysis and validation (DFQ) for design acceptance.
• Develop and maintain nonconformance and corrective action records.
• Establish incoming quality inspection for purchased components.
• Build outgoing/final inspection and test processes.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification activities for new processes/equipment.
• Participate in stage-gate development and new product gate reviews.
• Drive AS9100 compliance by building validated practices and procedures.
• Support first-article inspection and post-exit production monitoring.
