At Aeon, we design, build, and test modular weapon systems for ground and air platforms. We take pride in our dynamic and small team that allows us to iterate, build and test quickly. If you are looking to solve hard technical problems with a team of passionate engineers in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment, Aeon is the place for you.
We are looking for a Project Manager to help build a world‑class manufacturing organization as we transition from new product introduction (NPI) and development into full‑rate production of complex guided‑munition subassemblies and final assemblies. Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, you will lead multiple concurrent, high‑impact initiatives, including facility build‑outs, ERP implementation, and NPI program execution. As a true builder, you will own integrated project plans, critical milestones, risk management, and cross‑functional coordination across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and external partners. While technical ownership resides with functional subject matter experts, you will be accountable for driving execution, managing dependencies, maintaining visibility to leadership, and ensuring organizational and customer commitments are delivered on time and on target.
This is a full‑time, in‑person role located in Austin, TX with plans to move to Cedar Park, TX early 2027.
Own Aeon's master schedule and cross‑functional accountability for both new facilities build‑outs — the general production facility and the separate final assembly facility, each with distinct requirements and timelines. Maintain a clear, current view of both facilities' status for Aeon leadership reporting
Help structure the AS9100‑aligned NPI process framework (e.g., business case approval, concept, design/build validation, production readiness) and help define the framework requirements, working closely with the functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product Engineering), who retain technical content ownership
Track and manage project deliverables against customer‑facing expectations for Aeon commitments against large contracts
Monitor project costs against budget, flagging overruns and variances
PMI certification in Project Management, or equivalent experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction/Facilities Management, IT architecture, related field, or equivalent project management experience
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining detailed schedules for complex, multi‑workstream projects with hard external dependencies (electromechanical assemblies, facilities projects, major IT software implementations, or equivalent)
Comfortable working across various stakeholders and roles
Strong organizational skills and follow‑through; able to keep multiple external and internal parties accountable to a schedule without owning their technical decisions
Experience scheduling or coordinating a manufacturing facility build‑out or relocation, ideally in aerospace/defense or another regulated environment
Comfortable using project management software (e.g., Plane, Microsoft Project, Primavera)
