Job summary

Triad Technology Group seeks a Quality Engineer – APQP in Elyria, Ohio. Onsite role supporting manufacturing and engineering to maintain product and process quality while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.

The position will drive AS9145 implementations, lead RCCA and audits, and apply APQP/PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and MSA to development activities. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of Quality/Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing.
• Hands-on APQP and PPAP experience.
• Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
• Experience with GD&T.
• AS9145 or AS9100 experience preferred.
• ASQ CQE/CQA/CQM certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support quality activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Lead or support RCCA, NCRs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA to product and process development.
• Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support FAI, process/product changes, qualification activities, and reliability testing.
• Review quality documentation, deviations, and engineering/manufacturing changes.
• Support internal, customer, aerospace, and regulatory audits.
• Identify quality risks and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Help establish and improve quality processes related to AS9145 implementation.
• Apply statistical and process-control methods as appropriate.

Job Description

The Quality Engineer supports manufacturing and engineering teams in maintaining product and process quality while meeting customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. This role will also support the implementation of AS9145 at the site and drive quality improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Lead or support RCCA, NCR, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA to product and process development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace, automotive, or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with APQP and PPAP required.
• Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA required.
• Experience with GD&T required.
• Experience with AS9145 or AS9100 preferred.
• Knowledge of SPC and process capability tools preferred.
• Experience with audits, RCCA, NCRs, FAI, and corrective action processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• ASQ quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or CQM are a plus.
• Aerospace engine or defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
