Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineer to represent the quality function in manufacturing support, coordinating with suppliers and customers on global quality issues. The role involves developing QA plans, supporting quoting, and driving corrective actions to improve processes across global accounts.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background with 2+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and preferred ASQ QE certification along with Lean Six Sigma credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or similar discipline required.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• ASQ/QE certification strongly preferred; Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• IPC 600 and 610 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA plans for global new product introductions using APQP and process optimization.
• Provide support for quoting activities by participation in design, development, and implementation phases.
• Evaluate inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
• Coordinate and track corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.
• Develop document storage and review systems for global customer accounts and interface with all departments on Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Drive process improvement and standardization of manufacturing processes for global customer accounts.

All shifts are needed1st Shift is Monday-Friday 730am-4pm2nd shift is Monday-Friday 3pm-1130pm3rd shift is Monday-Friday 1130pm-8amHow will you make an impact?As a Quality Engineer with Jabil, you will represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts. You will also serve as a liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers on global quality related issues.What will you do?Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.Provide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.Support all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.Develop appropriate systems for document storage, access and review pertaining to global customer accounts.Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develop appropriate systems for document storage and access.Review all supplier or customer discrepancies.
