Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, located in Middletown, CT, is seeking a Quality Engineer to advance F135 modernization through new technologies, methods, and robust inspection programs. You will act as the Quality point of contact within IPMT, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and inspection readiness for new designs.

You will apply continuous improvement, data analysis, and experience with SAP/Solumina to optimize processes, while supporting Class I/II engineering

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver measurable product quality improvements.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office software.
Strong organizational and priority management skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to evaluate and implement new equipment and technologies, including Airfoil 2.0 and model-based processes.
Provide quality insights to support design for manufacturing and design for inspect-ability principles.
Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues related to F135 modernization trials; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Partner with engineering to develop and validate robust inspection methodologies for new components.
Support the redesign of feedback loops based on current state process capability to drive continuous improvement.
Support Quality Engineering for Class I or II engineering changes per standards.
