Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Quality Engineer for defense products in Marlborough, MA. You will develop quality plans, lead CAPA activities, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 and J-STD-001/IPC 61 standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–10+ years in quality engineering in aerospace, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement and root-cause investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections and identify root causes.
• Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D, or similar methods.
• Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
• Ability to interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the quality plan, including CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections and address root causes.
• Use problem-solving tools to reach root causes of quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100.
• Review inspections according to J-STD-001 and/or IPC 61 standards.
• Review and interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics to identify issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout engineering processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on quality-related matters.
