Job summary

Max-Aerostructures-LL is seeking a qualified Quality Engineer to support the aerospace quality system and engineering groups in First Articles, calibration, SPC, PPAP, APQP, and customer regulatory flow-downs. You will assist with RCCA, MRB, and problem-solving teams to improve process capability and maintain audit readiness.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in aerospace quality, familiarity with customers such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, and a solid understanding

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years aerospace quality experience.
  • Experience with customers such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, SpaceX preferred.
  • Knowledge of AS9102 and creating FAI reports in Net-Inspect.
  • Read and understand blueprints; GD&T required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; strong communication能力.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and validate purchasing and engineering media (certifications, plans, procedures, inspection plans, drawings, WIs).
  • Provide technical support interpreting complex customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and complete AS9102 FAI reports and bubble drawings.
  • Coordinate source inspection packages for customers.
  • Maintain calibration records and audits for the Quality department.
  • Participate in AS9100 internal audits and supplier/customer audits.
  • Lead RCCA investigations and MRB related functions.
  • Perform gage R&R, capability studies, and analyze data to improve processes.
  • Apply PFMEA and policy deployment to drive lean improvements.

Job description

The Quality Engineer position provides technical support in improving the quality system and supporting quality and engineering groups in relation to First Articles, Calibration, SPC, PPAP, APQP, and customer quality and regulatory flow-down requirements. This position will also provide contribution to the enhancement of continuous improvement through customer interaction, internal and external quality programs.The essential duties include:Verification and validation of purchasing and engineering media such as: material certifications, planning, procedures, inspection plans, engineering drawings, electronic work instructions.Provides technical support on interpretation of complex customer and regulatory requirements.Creating and completing AS9102 first article inspection reports and bubble drawings.Handling source inspection needs with putting together source packages to present to the customer.Assisting the Quality department with tracking and maintaining calibration records and audits.Serve as a team member on AS9100 internal audit team and assisting with supplier and customer audits.Participate on problem solving teams to support RCCA activities and MRB related functionsPerforming and collecting gage R&R’s, capability studies and analyzing the data to drive process capability improvements.Achieve results through effective utilization of strategy deployment, lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, PFMEA, and policy deployment.The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:A minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality experienceExperience working with customers such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Boeing Defense and SpaceX, preferredWorking knowledge of quality concepts pertaining to aerospace requirementsKnowledge of AS9102 and creating FAI reports in Net-InspectRead and understand blueprints, working knowledge of GD&T requiredMust have excellent time management and organizational skills.Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). May have contact with customers and auditors, in addition to working with others in the organization.Must understand and have experience with inspection procedures & processes.Auditing experience a plusAbility to work successfully under pressure of tight timelines and frequent changes to a heavy workloadMust display a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to get along with others
