Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Newbern, Tennessee seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer to drive product and process quality across design, engineering and manufacturing. This role emphasizes customer focus and continuous improvement in line with ISO/TS 16949 requirements.

You will develop quality systems, participate in lean initiatives, and serve as the link between customers, suppliers and plant operations. A Bachelor's in Engineering and QC experience are preferred.

• Experience in a Quality function in a manufacturing environment.
• Statistical Process Control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing quality systems to meet customer requirements.
• Plan and participate in improvement activities to ensure quality systems meet and exceed customer requirements.
• Develop documents to support ISO/TS 16949 requirements (PPAP, FEMA’s, Control Plans, PSW’s, etc.).
• Serve as primary quality contact between customers, suppliers and plant operations.
• Assist in implementing lean principles in the quality systems and program management on new products.

Your Job

We are seeking a quality engineering professional with a passion for customer focus and creating value through continuous improvement in product and process. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self‑motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands‑on” position that will work across the organization.

What you Will do in Your Role

• Assist in the development of quality systems to meet internal and external customer requirements
• Plan and participate in improvement activities to ensure quality systems continue to meet and exceed all customer requirements
• Develop documents to support ISO/TS 16949 requirements (PPAP, FEMA’s, Control Plans, PSW’S, etc.)
• Serve as primary quality contact between customers, suppliers and plant operations
• Assist in the implementation of lean principles in the quality systems and program management on new products

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in a Quality function in a manufacturing environment
• Statistical Process Control Knowledge

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM degree
• Knowledge of IATF 16949
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
• Experience in plastic injection molding, paint, and/or assembly operations
