Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Assurance Team. You will drive product and process quality across design, production, and supplier domains, ensuring robust, reliable systems for mission-critical programs.

You will apply quality principles to design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation, leading investigations, CAPAs, and data-driven improvements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• STEM degree at bachelor’s level or higher in a technical/industrial/quality field or equivalent experience/education.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
• Experience developing inspection methods and procedures for manufactured products.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts for QE processes.
• Awareness of GD&T and its application to quality control.

Basic Qualifications

• STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/education
• Must be able obtain a Secret level security clearance
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products
• An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
• Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
• Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to travel 25%

Desired Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
• Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Demonstrated team leadership skills
• Customer Relationship Management skills
• Experience working with Government customers
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Demonstrated presentation skills
• Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration
• Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
