Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Sr to join the Quality Engineering Team. The role focuses on applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation to ensure product excellence.

Responsibilities include leading investigations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing strategies to improve supplier performance. This position is based in Dallas and requires US citizenship with eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Strong understanding of engineering requirements and mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
• Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board).
• Experience with root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools.

This position is in Dallas. Discover more about our Dallas, Texas location. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications

• STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Strong understanding of engineering requirements and mechanical and electrical inspection methods - ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related Performance Metrics
• Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board)
• Experience with root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools

Desired Skills

• STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the capability to work in a dynamic environment
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues
• A basic understanding of MFC Apriso, SAP, and P2P business systems
• Experience with government customers
• Experience with defense manufacturing
• Experience with AS9100, AS9102, J-STD-001, and IPC-610 interpretation and application experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
