Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to implement and drive the plant’s quality and continuous improvement systems. You will help manage quality equipment programming, validation protocols, and supplier specifications while leading improvements across GMP, ISO, SQF standards.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma expertise, internal auditing, and strong leadership to mentor teams. You will collaborate with a world-class QA group and support lifecycle quality programs across packaging

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Systems Engineering, or Sciences.
  • Lean / 6Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt trained with working knowledge of SQC/SPC/DOE processes.
  • Trained internal auditor.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, Infinity QS, and other applicable software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage / implement / training of quality equipment programming and troubleshooting (CMM, AVID, Infinity).
  • Manages / develops validation / qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ/CQV) for software, injection, printing, and finishing processes.
  • Manage continuous improvement activities (quality improvements, scrap, efficiency, risk review, and other cost savings).
  • Programming and support using 3D printer.
  • Manage customer specification review / approvals, creates stock specifications, assist with quality agreements. Manage GMP, ISO and SQF quality systems. (ISO 9001, 15378, 13485, SQF, FDA).
  • Manage / support other quality systems (Change control, deviations, CAPA). Back up Quality Supervisor / Manager as needed.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and driving the core functions of the plant’s quality and continuous improvement systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage / implement / training of quality equipment programming and troubleshooting (CMM, AVID, Infinity).
  • Manages / develops validation / qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ/CQV) for software, injection, printing, and finishing processes.
  • Manage continuous improvement activities (quality improvements, scrap, efficiency, risk review, and other cost savings).
  • Preferred trained black belt.
  • Programming and support using 3D printer.
  • Manage customer specification review / approvals, creates stock specifications, assist with quality agreements. Manage GMP, ISO and SQF quality systems. (ISO 9001, 15378, 13485, SQF, FDA).
  • Manage / support other quality systems (Change control, deviations, CAPA). Back up Quality Supervisor / Manager as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing and lifting.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, Infinity QS, and other applicable software BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Systems Engineering, or Sciences.
  • Lean / 6Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt trained with working knowledge of SQC/SPC/DOE processes Must possess a working knowledge regarding ISO quality standards, statistical process control and other quality measurement systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with personnel management, development, and accountability.
  • Trained internal auditor
  • Understanding of 7 tools of quality preferred Validation experience with equipment/software is preferred.
