Job summary

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. in Creedmoor, NC, seeks a Quality Engineer to join onsite and lead quality standards for aerospace products and processes.

You will develop procedures, conduct inspections and audits, and drive corrective actions while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of aerospace quality engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 aerospace quality standards and FAA regulations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, A3, Ishikawa.

Quality Engineer

Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Our Creedmoor, NC site hosts a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group. We have over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, having more than doubled in size since 2019 and continuing to grow at pace.

Position Summary

This role reports to the Quality Engineering Supervisor and is based onsite in Creedmoor, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be highly competent in Microsoft Office and project tools.
• Aerospace flight critical application experience preferred.
• J‑STD‑001 knowledge/understanding preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22.C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• This position must meet export control compliance requirements.

Compensation

$75,000‑90,000/yr based on experience.
