Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Quality Director to lead the site’s Quality Management System in Creedmoor, NC.

You will report to the General Manager and oversee Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, Regulatory Compliance, and Continuous Improvement. You will drive audits, root cause analysis, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations, and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive quality leadership in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing.
• 5+ years in a senior quality leadership role.
• Proven experience leading AS9100 Rev D QMS and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regs, and customer flow‑downs.
• Experience in audits (internal, supplier, customer, regulatory, and third‑party).
• Lean, Six Sigma, RCCA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the site's AS9100-certified QMS.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regs, and customer requirements.
• Develop quality strategies, KPIs, and executive reporting.
• Represent quality system effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, RCCA, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers.
• Lead and develop Quality Managers, Engineers, Auditors, Inspectors, and Technicians.
• Promote Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier quality programs and performance.
