Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality control systems
- Identify required specifications per customer print, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates
- Design automated testing systems and quality control workflows to improve the efficiency of the quality assurance process
- Collect data about instances of product errors and investigate possible solutions by troubleshooting the manufacturing or design process
- Document initial quality standards and the actual quality of products during production
- Find defects, help determine the causes of those defects, and assist in creating resolutions
- Teach production staff how to use effective quality controls and supervise outcomes
- Work closely with design and production teams to solve problems
- Respond to questions about how to achieve quality goals and implement changes to reduce the instance of human or machine errors
Duties:
- Determining quality improvement factors
- Implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of the manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment
- Making sure processes adhere to quality standards
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Programming computerized measuring equipment, such as CMM, Keyence, and GMM
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, measuring tools, gages, and quality manufacturing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong Math Skills
- Knowledge of metals machining
- Attention to detail
- Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stress
- Capable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to switch between tasks easily
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Four (4) or more years of quality engineering experience
Salary: $60,000 + annually (wage based on experience)
