Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Quality Engineer in Mt. Pleasant, IA with 2+ years in manufacturing quality.

You will lead problem-solving efforts, support APQP and quality system tools, and collaborate with plant teams to improve safety, quality, waste, and productivity. You will perform GR&R, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC with calibrated equipment, manage customer and supplier interactions, and participate in cross-functional projects to standardize best practices and drive continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in quality in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, supply chain or CBS preferred.
• Experience in rubber and/or plastic production processes.
• Experience with rubber compound troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with international teams on production topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structured problem-solving and continuous improvement to address safety, quality, waste, and productivity in the plant.
• Coordinate and implement Advanced Quality Planning processes and quality tools (GR&R, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC).
• Manage customer and supplier interactions, including corrective actions and feedback on satisfaction and scorecards.
• Participate in or lead project teams to standardize best practices and share lessons learned.
• Conduct internal audits and support compliance with production and quality standards; identify gaps in the management system.
• Ensure proper use and calibration/maintenance of test equipment and availability of supplies.
