Role - Quality Engineer

Associate Service Engineer

This position supports dealers through technical issues, working with Service end Design Engineers to research and provide documentation on electronics systems issues. It involves working with dealers via ticketing and teleconferencing, assisting service engineers with projects, and supporting products under the mentorship of an experienced engineer.

Typical duties include interfacing with dealers through a ticket system, email, and phone calls. The role also involves collaboration with other service engineers and system and component engineers to identify issues and find resolutions. Travel to Caterpillar proving grounds and customer sites may be required to assist in investigations.

Education & Experience Required:

• Associate's degree with 5 years of experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (technical) counts as two years’ experience; at least 3 years’ relevant experience on heavy equipment troubleshooting and maintenance is required.

Required skills include troubleshooting/support skills (5+ years), familiarity with electronic and electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent (auto, etc.).
