Job summary

Burkert USA Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the Quality Management System, develop processes and ensure ISO standards compliance. You will identify statistical methods to improve manufacturing, enhance inspection, and perform CAPA investigations to address customer issues.

Responsibilities include data analysis, sampling plan development, supplier audits, and reporting. A technical degree and 1–2 years in quality engineering with SAP and MS Office proficiency are required; travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical major.
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems (statistics, reliability, sampling, auditing).
  • 1–2 years in Quality Engineering or a technical discipline.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems standards a plus.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification a plus.
  • Lean implementation in production, warehousing and distribution a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal.
  • Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Travel 10%.

  • Responsible for Quality Management System inclusive of process and procedure development/implementation that aligns with ISO standards.
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Enhance quality inspection process utilizing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence.
  • Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
  • Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA for quality improvement related concerns utilizing DMAIC methodology and 8D/5Why tools.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Assist suppliers' performance and conduct audits.
  • Preparation of QA reports.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Major; Master's Degree a plus
