Job summary

Jobot in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role offers a salary of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, strong benefits, and growth opportunities, with emphasis on ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance and quality system leadership.

You will design and maintain QC plans, oversee product quality across the value stream, lead RCCA and CAPA activities, and collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related manufacturing experience.
• 5–7+ years quality management experience in manufacturing.
• 5–7+ years of managing direct reports.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.
• ISO 9001 / AS9100 audit familiarity.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO standards.
• Experience with EHS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-level QC leadership for ISO 9001 audits.
• Design and maintain quality plans and inspection systems.

• Promote cross-functional teamwork.
• Analyze data to support KPI targets.
• Troubleshoot quality issues and drive corrective actions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide site-level Quality Control (QC) leadership and support for internal and external conformance audits, including ISO 9001 compliance and audit readiness.
• Design, implement, and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and inspection systems to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
• Oversee product quality throughout the value stream, serving as the quality representative for inspections, QA holds, A3s, CAPAs, and production meetings.
• Promote a collaborative team environment by encouraging communication, engagement, and cross-functional participation.
• Perform data analysis, trend identification, and improvement recommendations to support KPI targets and business goals.
• Troubleshoot quality issues, provide technical support, and lead corrective and preventive actions to ensure effective resolution.
• Lead customer material returns and internal rejects, ensuring effective Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) using structured methods such as Root Cause Analysis and 8D.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and Kaizen events from a quality perspective, including project charter development, payback calculations, and KPI impact analysis.
• Support supplier quality development and performance monitoring.
• Conduct supplier quality audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or related experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years' quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5-7 years' managing direct reports.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with managing EHS procedures.
• Good computer skills with Microsoft, SAP experience a plus.
• ISO 9001 / AS9100 Auditor Certification preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred) and QMS principles.
