Job summary

LOTTE Aluminium Materials USA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support development and improvement of quality systems across operations, engineering, and quality teams. You will monitor product and process performance and assist in issue resolution while communicating with customers.

Responsibilities include implementing quality procedures, supporting audits, maintaining QMS documents, and driving data-driven improvements to meet ISO/IATF quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years in engineering, technical, or process improvement roles.
• Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement.
• Exposure to Quality systems or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and improvement of Quality control procedures and processes to ensure product quality and compliance with company standards
• Assist with internal Quality audits and support preparation activities for external and customer audits
• Support maintenance and control of Quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to monitor process performance and ensure adherence to quality specifications
• Participate in root cause analysis and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions for quality issues
• Support tracking and documentation of product specifications and quality requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including process optimization and system enhancements
• Assist in maintaining elements of the Quality Management System (QMS) under guidance from senior team members
• Taking part in MES improvement
• Continuous process improvement for the quality at laboratory, quality inspection, and front-line production
• Utilize data analysis and reporting to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making
• Assist in training and knowledge-sharing efforts related to quality processes and tools
• Overtime working for international meeting and emergency situations
• Communication with clients and suppliers
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Summary:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
• 3 or more years of experience in engineering, technical, or process improvement roles, or equivalent experience
• Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
• Exposure to Quality systems or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 principles is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to: sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer; regularly walk and communicate. Must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs frequently throughout each day, and do some lifting. There are times when you will need to walk throughout the manufacturing plant floor or walk between buildings, which
includes but is not limited to walking outside, walking up and down stairs, walking across metal grates and potentially being in contact with slippery surfaces.
