The Engineer will support the development, testing, verification, and validation high explosive projectile from a Quality Engineer / Product Assurance Engineer perspective. This role requires close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical personnel to help ensure the munition system meets quality, performance, safety, reliability, and design requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Key duties include assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering efforts related to projectile design, test activities, and technical assessments. The individual will help develop, review, and refine test plans, test procedures, specifications, system requirements, engineering analyses, and technical data packages. The role also includes evaluating test results, documenting findings, identifying technical issues, and supporting corrective actions or design improvements as needed.

The position requires frequent on-site travel to support test events, technical reviews, manufacturing activities, and coordination with government, contractor, and test stakeholders. The Engineer must be comfortable working in dynamic environments, solving complex technical problems, and clearly communicating results, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, but other relevant engineering disciplines will be considered
  • Experience or familiarity with engineering development, testing, verification, and validation processes
  • Ability to support the preparation and review of test documentation, specifications, requirements, and technical data packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and help develop practical engineering solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently for on-site testing, reviews, and program support activities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with quality engineering, systems engineering, product development, test execution, or defense-related engineering processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, technical documentation, and configuration-controlled data is preferred
