Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a global automotive plastics manufacturer. You will lead part inspection, supplier quality responsibilities, audits and root-cause analysis to drive process improvements.

You will interface with plant partners on quality issues, coordinate audits, review process documentation, track data trends, and manage supplier debits and RMAs. A 4-year degree in manufacturing quality or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent related manufacturing quality assurance experience.
• Practical understanding of quality systems, blueprint reading, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of structured problem solving tools like 8Ds, 5 Whys, Fishbones, and process variation analysis.

Responsibilities

• Primary interface with partners for plant level quality issues, managing sorting, containment, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate, lead, and facilitate quality requests and verification audits in a timely manner.
• Review mass production evaluation documentation, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and dimensional data.
• Track and report data trends, maintaining related databases for process error proofing and quality assurance.
• Manage vendor debits, process return material authorizations, and operate basic accounting functions.
