Job summary

Sese-Industrial-Services-US-Cor is seeking a Quality Engineer to understand customer quality requirements and drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement. The role focuses on maintaining QMS compliance, coordinating CAPA across teams, and ensuring staff adherence to group guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a Master's in Engineering or Quality, experience with DOE and Six Sigma, and knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001, and VDA standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality related field is required.
  • Experience applying DOE, Six Sigma, CEP (Close-Ended Problems) to root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methods is essential.
  • Auditing against ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure compliance with QMS to meet client requirements.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA activities.
  • Coordinate actions from non-conformities and customer complaints to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs and coordinate PDCA cycles across teams.
  • Train and ensure staff adherence to QMS policies and safety standards.

Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for understanding customer quality related requirements, driving internal efforts for root cause and quality improvement, while supporting our high standards of precision and quality.

  • Carry out the necessary activities and develop and / or ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the quality of the product / material / service complying with the client's requirements.
  • Provide support in the development of the QMS when required.
  • Identify or collaborate in the identification of the risks of the QMS and carry out the necessary actions to mitigate or eliminate such risks.
  • Lead action plans derived from non-conformities, customer complaints or opportunities improvement, performing root cause analysis using quality tools (such as 8D, 5P, Ishikawa) implementing the necessary corrective and preventive actions (production derogation, quality wall, etc.) that ensure continuous improvement of the system and meet the requirements of the client.
  • Technically evaluate or collaborate in the evaluation of internal complaints, analyze the indicators, and coordinate the multidisciplinary teams that will be responsible, through the establishment and monitoring of the respective PDCA, to reduce the number of complaints and improve said indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS policies through training and awareness, ensuring that the staff works in a standardized way and aligned with the group's guidelines.
  • Ensure the correct identification of and compliance to the legal requirements applicable to the organization.
  • Promote awareness of respect for the product safety characteristics, customer focus, and quality of service.
  • Ensure the implementation, maintenance, deployment, and continuous improvement of the QMS processes under the required standards of the VDA and / or IATF reference standard, performing or participating in the monitoring, maintenance, updating and order of the documentation related to the quality plan and the QMS records (instructions, visual aids, FMEAs, control plans, etc.).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
  • Know and comply with the policies of the Integrated Management System, the guidelines of the Code of Ethics, the rules of occupational risk prevention and the rules of security and protection of information.
  • Work following the processes defined in the organization.
  • Ensure order and cleanliness in their area of responsibility.
  • Make responsible use of resources and raw materials.
  • Properly segregate waste using the containers provided for this purpose.
  • Ensure their own safety, always complying with the safety measures and ORP regulations applicable in each case.
  • Use appropriately and responsibly the personal protective equipment required for their position.
  • Comply with the measures implemented in the information security risk control and prevention systems.
  • Report any conduct that they consider may pose a risk to information security and, in particular, to the security of personal data.
  • Know and understand the group's environmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality related.
  • Apply methods like DOE, 6 sigma, CEP (Close-Ended Problems), etc. to analyze the root causes of complaints and Chargeback initiatives.
  • Managing ability and skills to analyze problems.
  • Accredited auditor in reference standards: ISO 9001, 14001, IATF, VDA 6.3
  • Knowledge of Quality, Environment and PRL management systems.
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma Experience (Green belt or Black belt is preferred)
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Adept critical thinking skills for complex issues.
  • Product and process control knowledge.
  • Assembly/production JIS and JIT experience (preferred).
  • Tier 1 experience (preferred).
  • Exercise substantial initiative/judgement in work methods and interpreting goals.
  • Knowledge of measurement methodologies and GD&T.
  • Planning and prioritizing activities.
  • Ability to present data effectively.
  • VDA 6.3 training.
  • VDA 6.5 training.
  • Knowledge in Quality System such as IATF 16949.
  • Formel Q knowledge.
