Job summary

DP World is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing organization in the Harrisburg area. The role focuses on quality processes, ISO documentation, and Lean initiatives to improve operations across locations.

Responsibilities include data analysis, problem-solving using Core Tools, and maintaining quality systems while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. A technical degree and relevant quality experience in automotive/logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data from the customer and internal sources for problem solving and report to appropriate personnel.
  • Administer projects and documentation relative to processes/launches (e.g., operator instructions, PFMEA, process control plans).
  • Provide input on processes from a quality perspective and assist in new process implementation.
  • Champion Lean engineering goals and develop/maintain Lean culture with a hands-on approach.
  • Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems; use problem-solving techniques to reduce variation.
  • Generate/interpret/analyze results using management tools and reports.
  • Maintain ISO documentation and assist in maintaining ISO certifications; coach organization accordingly.
  • Support internal auditing to identify potential quality issues.
  • Drive regional and local quality initiatives.

About the Role

How you will contribute

  • Gather data from the customer and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel. Interact with staff within the locations and within the Company and all customer and prospective customer representatives.
  • Administer all projects and documentation (quality system) relative to assigned processes/launches (i.e. operator instructions (SWS, WES), PFMEA’s and process control plans).
  • Provide input on processes from a quality perspective, aid in the implementation of new processes. (3rd party sorts, suspect material, damaged material etc.)
  • Champion Lean engineering goals in addition to being an aid in developing, implementing and maintaining a Lean culture within the organization using a hands‑on approach.
  • Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems. Use established problem solving techniques to reduce process variation.
  • Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports.
  • Provide input on document enhancement and retention, maintain ISO documentation and controls, administer activities required to maintain ISO certification, and actively coach the organization for maintaining ISO system.
  • Support and participate in the internal auditing program in order to identify and report any potential and/or existing quality issues.
  • Drive regional and local quality initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

  • College with a Technical degree is required.
  • Experience working in an automotive or logistics environment working in a quality capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or training in Core Tools (APQP, FMEA).
  • Knowledge of relevant international standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 etc.).
  • Strong analytical and technical skills. Strong experience using MS Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills—written and oral—in order to deal with a wide range of internal and external customers.
