Job summary

Johnson Controls in Burlington, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer who will participate in creating and operating a Quality Management system. The role requires a focus on inspection processes and maintaining ISO 9001 certification. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing quality system and familiarity with Quality tools.

The position offers an attractive salary range of $76,100 - $114,100 and a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation and 401K.

This role generally requires 4 days onsite per week, fostering an encouraging and collaborative environment.

  • Ability to write clear instructions and follow instructions.

What You'll Do

Alloy is looking for a Quality Engineer that will participate in all aspects of creating and operating a Quality Management system capable of processing volume orders from customers while working with all departments to maintain ISO 9001 certification. The quality engineer will focus on effective and efficient inspection processes, timely processing of rejected material, maintaining good relationships with key suppliers, and on-boarding and training of new quality technicians.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and familiarity with Quality tools and methods.

This role generally requires 4 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and document standard procedures
  • Create and execute inspection plans, gather other data as needed
  • Assist with root cause analysis of issues, follow up on corrective actions
  • Maintain Quality records and prepare customer documentation
  • Assist with calibration
  • Other quality tasks as needed or assigned.

Responsibilities are subject to change based on shifting business needs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating a manufacturing quality system
  • Experience with part prints, tolerancing
  • Experience with inspection tools, hand held (micrometers, calipers) and more advanced (comparators, CMM, vision systems).
  • Ability to write clear instructions and follow instructions.
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, Word documents and basic statistics
  • BS in technical field or engineering preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
SALARY RANGE

$76,100 - $114,100 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
