Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a quality engineer to act as the primary quality contact for customers and to lead audits, investigations, and continuous improvement projects. The role requires coordinating PPAP submissions, calibration activities, and measurement systems while ensuring ISO and customer requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, process engineering, production, inspection, or a related technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, SPC, audits, process improvement, or continuous improvement.

  • Lead quality initiatives including audits, inspections, complaint investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with ISO and customer requirements.
  • Analyze quality data and manufacturing trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, defect reduction, and cost savings.
  • Coordinate PPAP submissions, quality documentation, and customer-required reports to support new and existing business.
  • Manage measurement systems and calibration activities while supporting the effective use of inspection and testing equipment.
  • Train and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen quality practices, improve product performance, and achieve operational excellence.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work directly with customers, suppliers, operators, engineers, and leaders.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who can manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to learn and grow in areas such as Lean, Six Sigma, quality systems, auditing, and customer quality management.
