Job summary

Malone Workforce Solutions is partnering with an automotive client in the Bardstown area to hire a Quality Engineer. You will work with plant personnel to meet customer requirements and product quality, and support new program launches with PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEA.

You will be in office five days a week, interacting with quality supervisors and production teams. The role requires living in the Louisville or Bardstown area with no relocation available.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a Quality Engineering role.
• Knowledgeable of customer quality requirements (Ford, GM, Volvo)
• Experience in preparing PPAP packages
• Experience in writing and verifying procedures and work instructions

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and report in cross-functional meetings to address internal and external concerns.
• Interface with quality supervisors to ensure all quality checks are addressing the key characteristics of the product.
• Support in all aspects of corrective actions (on time closures, repeat concerns, root cause, etc).
• Responsible for meeting customer targets.
• Support quality dimensional team to ensure dimensional stability being met as per customer requirements. Mean shifts and SPC data.
• Make decisions and advise on an on-going basis to insure customer and management directives are met.
• Competent understanding of fixture design concepts and ability to use basic metrology equipment.
• Ensure manufacturing counter measures are implemented and effective.
• RMA’s, quality alerts, PDCA, on time completion of corrective actions.
• Customer specific updates.

We are working with an automotive client in the Bardstown area who is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. The Quality Engineer will work with all levels of plant personnel to ensure customer requirements and product quality are met. Prepare documentation and provide support for new program part launches and process changes including PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, etc. Interface with all aspects of the plant to ensure product quality is being met. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Louisville or Bardstown area. No relocation available.
