John Deere Des Moines Works in Des Moines, IA seeks a Quality Engineer to provide day-to-day quality support for production operations and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. You will lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support audits and change control to enhance product quality and process capability.
The role requires experience with PFMEA, RCA, 8D, and NCCA, plus data analytics tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Ignition.
As a Quality Engineer for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Des Moines, IA , you will provide day-to-day quality support for production operations while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. You will:
Provide tactical quality line support for production sprayer assembly operations.
Investigate part and process defects and lead root cause analysis activities.
Develop and implement corrective actions to improve quality performance.
Support new product introductions and product change control activities.
Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, and CI teams to improve product quality and process capability.
Support internal and external audit activities and quality system compliance.
Lead quality improvement projects focused on defect reduction and customer satisfaction.

Effective communicator who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Experience applying quality tools such as PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and NCCA processes.
Experience supporting a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with quality systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
Manufacturing quality engineering experience.
Experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, or dimensional inspection processes.
Knowledge of GD&T, print reading, and process capability studies.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Ignition, or other data analytics tools.
Experience with automation, machine vision, or digital quality technologies.
Knowledge of John Deere quality processes and corrective action systems.
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
