We're partnering with a leading automotive supplier in the Adrian, Michigan area to identify an experienced Quality Engineer for a 1st Shift, direct-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Lead quality engineering activities supporting production, customer programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support APQP activities, PPAP submissions, Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, DFMEAs, and Control Plans.
- Investigate customer and supplier quality concerns utilizing 8D and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Analyze SPC data, capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, and dimensional inspection results to improve manufacturing performance.
- Review GD&T, CMM reports, engineering drawings, and fixture designs to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and layered process audits while supporting compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Support supplier quality activities, including PPAP approvals, supplier development, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with new product launches, engineering changes, and prototype validation.
- Develop and deliver quality training while supporting plant-wide quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and AIAG Core Tools.
- Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Proficiency with GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC, capability studies, and Gauge R&R.
- Experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is preferred.
