Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a QI & A Specialist to join a team focused on data-driven decisions, training, and EHR workflow management across the organization.

You will monitor documentation quality, run audits, report findings to leadership, and support staff with quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality client care and compliance with best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a professional environment performing technical analysis, data management and communication.
• Minimum two years of experience with case management, peer specialist, client navigation, and/or other supportive services and the documentation of such services.
• Experience with development and training preferred.
• Experience in the behavioral health industry helpful.
• Understanding of issues related to homelessness including trauma-informed care.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain superb customer service skills with emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of documentation of supportive service activities in the EHR.
• Collaborate with the Supportive Services trainer to provide leadership and training to staff.
• Conduct regular reviews/audits of staff documentation; run reports and plan quality improvement projects.
• Report regularly on audit results and compliance measures to leadership; identify risks and liabilities.
• Ensure adherence to supportive services policies and procedures; maintain best practice guidelines.
• Engage in regular communication and training of managers/directors about audit findings and focus areas.
• Participate as an EHR Superuser to assist with training, system changes, and testing new tools.
• Cosign/review charting of direct services and ensure timely and accurate recording in the EHR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
