Job summary

InterSystems in Boston, MA is seeking a Quality Development Manager to lead a team delivering high‑quality HealthShare software. You will guide QA engineers, drive automation strategies, and ensure clear documentation and customer‑centric quality.

The role blends leadership with hands‑on technical contribution, focusing on SDLC, agile management, and testing across complex distributed systems in healthcare.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent STEM degree.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with software testing automation tools and methodologies.
• Experience with non‑deterministic testing of AI applications.
• Object‑oriented programming in InterSystems ObjectScript, Java, Python, C, C++, C#.
• Experience with cloud, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with distributed systems and networking.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards (FHIR, SDA, HL7, CDA).

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Quality Development Engineers.
• Contribute to strategy, planning and process improvement.
• Oversee HealthShare product quality across Scrum teams.
• Promote automation and AI tools to improve test coverage and frequency.
• Address testing gaps and develop remediation plans.
